New Headshots!

Hey Guys! Just wanted to let you guys know that I have some new headshots! YAY! They came out so bomb! Take a look at my actress page to see some of my favs from the shoot. We got over like 300 good ones! It was so hard narrowing them down to just a few. I worked with a photographer out in Orange County by the name of Mary Freitag. She is AMAZING! Her energy is bomb and just so pleasant to be around. You can check out her website at www.lightandshine.com or follow her on twitter/instagram @mary_freitag.

Be careful who you nail pon cross…

Hey guys!

Just a heads up! Like I said in an earlier post, I am without social media until I get the iPhone 7, so a way for you to keep up with me is through my website. (All Smiles)

Today has been such a great productive day! Despite all the negativity that surrounds me, God still gives me His signs and reminds me that He is still with me, never left. I went on about a 4 mile jog at the beach today and spent a good amount of time by the water. In between runs, I went right by the large rocks where the water was hitting. Nature is amazing man! I must admit I am a “water girl.” I enjoy my quiet time by the ocean, lakes, rivers, streams, and waterfalls. It’s the little things ya know? Something about it just puts my mind at ease, listening to the sounds of the water and allowing God to speak to me through nature. It’s the little reasons why I appreciate California so much. Right when you start loosing hope or second guessing what God has already told you…which you shouldn’t allow ANYONE to do, God WILL remind you that He is still with you through signs of His CREATION. It’s amazing man! Priceless! I encourage anyone who is reading this to go by your local body of water, be it man-made or God-made.

I have some projects that I am working on and can’t wait to share with you! I worked on a project with Damian Marley. His new song, “Nail Pon Cross” which I love! I challenge you to google the lyrics or just  Click Here . It speaks about how people of the world be so quick to condemn others and judge others without taking a look at themselves and their own flaws.  People of this world are too quick to point fingers at others and are hypocritical. Marley challenges us to reflect on ourselves rather than judge the behaviors of others. He uses the analogy of Jesus’ crucifixion with other random people being crucified. Have an open mind when watching. You may see me in the video about 4 times. lol Enjoy!

Encouraging Words from a friend…

Guys this journey of mine has been crazy and there are still stories to tell. However, one of my dearest friends happened to give me a call right on time. It’s crazy how God works. You know when you have moments where there is so much on your plate and every time you take one step forward, the devil hits you from the rear side with something else. It’s like you can’t come up for air. You can’t breathe.

She told me it’s okay to cry. I don’t have to be so strong for everyone else in my life. It is okay to scream. Let it all out and don’t hold it in. Tell God what is on your mind even if it is not in a nice, traditional prayer. Prayer is simply just talking to God anyway. Sometimes it is good to go up on a hill and just scream. Her words of fortification touched me so much and added more fire to my journey that I would love to share it with you. These were my take-a-ways and I encourage you to read it as many times as you need to. I elaborated on her thoughts and what she told me. I hope this will help whenever you are in doubt on what God has already told you…

God has purpose for your life. He has already spoken your destiny to you. He has already confirmed it to you many times through different entities. He has already ordered your steps and designed a pathway to your purpose. Ignore anybody that doesn’t confirm what God had already spoken to you and shown you. Ignore the naysayers. Ignore the negativity and the doubts. Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. Keep striving!  Keep going on the same path that God has ordained. There will be people that will doubt you and try to make it seem as if your dreams are too big. Don’t let this affect you in any way. Understand that everyone won’t understand your vision or your purpose. It’s not for them to understand. God showed you, not them. Some people don’t have the same amount of faith as you do so they won’t ever get it nor understand but YOU keep going. You’re not in this alone! God is ALWAYS with you! You have every right to cry and feel vulnerable sometimes, that doesn’t mean you failed nor does it mean that you are weak. That means you are human. Living not comfortably will propel you in life. When we are uncomfortable God uses that time to strengthen us and shows us that we can do & achieve more than what we think. He uses the uncomfortable time for you to grow not only in yourself but with Him. Your trust in God will grow! I would rather you live in a place that is uncomfortable on God’s path to your purpose than to live in a place of comfort working, making money but ultimately not happy- ultimately not in purpose. Money can’t buy you happiness!  Happiness comes when you feel fulfilled in purpose. God’s purpose. Never be too scared to pursue your God-given dreams. You have already done so much…more than the average person. You have already lived out of your comfort zone, moving to Cali with only $750, not knowing where the next income will come from but God provided. If He did it before, He can and WILL do it again. Keep all where you come from in mind. This is a faith walk that you have already started. Don’t dismiss God by trying to finish a faith walk on your own. Just when you want to give up is when you should push the hardest. It means that you are close to your breakthrough.

Can’t Do Destiny Warm

Guys! OMG! It’s been so long and I apologize. I’ve been going through so much. Family problems, financial issues, quit my job…lists goes on and on but God! He is definitely keeping me, strengthening me, and guiding me. My phone broke and I refuse to pay for an iPhone 6 when the iPhone 7 comes out next month so I am without social media right now. Forgive me, but you can keep up with me here…Hopefully. lol

Now with all these things that are going on it is hard to stay afloat, to stay positive, to not give up…it is really hard and even me, Positive Patty is STRUGGLING WITH THIS. Like I took this leap of faith that I knew I was ready for and now when I can’t see how…I begin to doubt. But isn’t that what faith is? The substance of things hoped for that we cannot see.  For the last couple of weeks I have been battling. It’s like I know I am on this leap of faith right now but reality keeps hitting me in the face. I get depressed, full of anxiety, second guessing myself and what God has already told me. It was like how can I doubt when I am the one who constantly tell people to remain positive, it can always be worse, things are only temporary, if He did it before, He can do it again and so on. Like I know these things but oh when it is YOU going THROUGH things are easier said than done.

I was so down and out. I mean mood was just all over the place and so not like myself until this past Sunday. Now I got an opportunity to take a job, all benefits were included, pay was amazing, could move to a better area, but I would have no time to pursue acting. Acting is the reason why I moved to L.A. Acting is apart of my purpose. I had to weigh my options. Although taking the job would help relieve my financial issues, long term I would be unhappy. Money cannot buy us happiness. I prayed for confirmation on not taking the job and boy oh boy when God gives us confirmation it is so clear!

Now here I am struggling, wondering how I’m gonna pay my bills, no steady income and God tells me not to take the job?! Like what? Oh God you really playing right? OH no! He is not! He wants me to remember what He told me when I quit my job. He wants me to remember what He shown me and to continue to walk this bridge of faith. He wants to be the ultimate provider and when you can’t see it at all that is when GOD shows up and shows out baebayy!

So any who this past Sunday my pastor preached from the topic “Stay Hot”.  He referenced Revelation 3:15-16 :

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.”

God wants us hot! He wants us on fire with our purpose and destiny. We cannot do destiny warm, that’s half stepping. The word only works in fire. The word inside of you is like fire. Although God’s word inspires heat, there are elements that want to “cool” the word off of you. These are disappointment, discouragement, and distraction. We cannot allow the 3 D’s to steer us off of our PURPOSE COARSE, our DESTINY. These 3 D’s will always be around but we must not get affected by it and keep progressing. Doing destiny requires all of you.

My pastor gave us five ways to stay hot…

  1. Write the vision with vivid clarity. Write it all thee way down! You need to see it!!!! This includes vision boards. The more you look at it, the more clear it is to you.
  2. Pray into the vision daily.–this keeps the vision in front of you and invites heaven into it. When you believe in something you pray into it.
  3. Speak on the vision daily. –need to stay hot. Everybody around you needs to know. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. We stir ourselves up more as we talk about it more.
  4. Add a brick to the vision daily.–Invest in your vision. Every single day do something towards it. That progress will help to keep you hot.
  5. Live with other hot people. — Surround yourself with like-minded people. Do life with other hot people.

Bottom line is if we are lukewarm about things they will never get done. We need fire for purpose. Fire and desire. Don’t get comfortable. Don’t let the 3 D’s throw you off track. Keep the vision in front of you.  Always excel for higher and higher. When you leave this earth you want to be completely empty. Stay hot, passionate and focused.

Simple Lives – New Web Series!

Hey guys! Long time no update but so so so much has been going on!  God is still able! I will update on tomorrow. I am happy to showcase with you all this new, “hot” web series that is entitled Simple Lives. I play Teesha, this cocaine head with no real morals. She’s totally out of my character right? lol Well here is the link, so enjoy! I come in at 2:29 =)

Let’s reflect on how we live our lives…

God gives us blessings daily. #ThisIsFact

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalms 118:24

If we woke up this morning and have breath in our bodies then we should be happy! That is a blessing within itself. God has granted us another day to make a change in someone’s life, if not our own. If we’re in it, we might as well be glad, for some people did not get that opportunity.

I encourage you guys to live a great life, like my pastor (Pastor Touré Roberts)  preached on yesterday, we have to live SUPER CHARGED LIVES.

We must stay spiritually awake. We can’t let life lullaby us to sleep. Don’t let busyness put you to sleep.  Even when we our out of strength there’s more. Let God’s anointing set the pace for your life. We got to learn how to be busy and anointed at the same time.

S0me of us started things in the Spirit, with God, but trying to finish in our own strength. We need to reevaluate and let God finish it.

We got to pray…and not as a last resort. Often times we forget our resources in God. We do everything else to cope with problems..talk to friends, smoke, drink, etc. and then once we done all that, then we pray. We can’t forget to pray. We can’t deal with life on our own. We need his hand consistently over our lives. When greatness is on your life, your own ability will fall short. When we are at the end of our rope, that’s when we need God’s rope.

Be pursuers of God’s grace, wisdom and power. Seek God’s agenda. Ask God what does He want? What’s your purpose? What legacy can you leave? What do we need to accomplish today? Know what is really in your heart! Remember, time is the only thing in life that we can’t get back. #BeBlessed

The Cowardly Lion…it’s already in you.

Lions are supposed to be “The Kings of Beasts.” However, the Cowardly Lion, in the Wizard of Oz believes that his fear makes him inadequate. He does not understand that courage means acting in the face of fear. Only during the aftereffects of the Wizard’s gift, when he is under the influence of an unknown liquid substance that the Wizard orders him to drink, is when he not filled with fear. He argues that the courage from the Wizard is only temporary, although he continues to do brave deeds while openly and embarrassedly fearful.

Courage is defined as mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. Courage…it’s already in you. No need to go search for the Wizard to give it to you. It might be buried under many layers but it’s in you. The Cowardly Lion thought that he needed a higher power to give him courage. Our God has already planted courage within us, there is no need to search for what is already in us. We just need the WILLPOWER to activate it. You cannot win without WILLPOWER! We got to do it! Time is of the essence. Our purpose is too serious. Where is your WILLPOWER?

When courage is absent from us, we suffer. We let time go by when we could’ve accomplished things that day. We let FEAR…fear hold us back. Courage doesn’t mean that fear doesn’t exist. Courage is greater than fear. Fear keeps us from being led by the spirit. We have to get courage activated.

We can’t be faithful if we are fearful. Period. You become a slave of what you are fearful of. We need courage! We need to face the things that we fear. What we fear controls us. We are God’s children. We cannot simultaneously believe that we are his children and live with the spirit of fear.

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. — 2 Timothy 1:7

What do we need courage in?

  1. Approach to Life
    1. Don’t wake up in the morning afraid.
      1. When we dwell on those kinds of thoughts, we’re not going to have peace. We need to pay attention to what we’re thinking about. All through the day, we should go around thinking, “God has me in the palm of His hand. All things are going yo work together for my good.”
    2. Be full of FAITH every day.
      1. Have the attitude of “I can! The world is pregnant with stuff for me.”
  2. Approach to your Dream
    1. the Word is designed to encourage you. There are miracles on our path.
    2. God has birthed in you a dream which is linked to your purpose.
    3. Time is of the essence
  3. Approach to Doing what you should
    1. Do the right thing.
    2. What opportunities are you missing out on?
  4. Approach to Wholeness
    1. Confront yourself. God search me! Purify me! Take anything that’s not like YOU away from me Lord God!
    2. Face your demons. Face your giants.
  5. Approach to death
    1. Live to leave a legacy behind.
    2. Don’t be afraid of death. The fear of death will take us there.

Glorify God with your gifts and talents. A lot of times we have certain things that God has given each of us but we don’t have the courage to use what God has given. Get the dust off of them! Activate your inner courage! Be great! You can win with what you got! God will make a way but FAITH must make the climb. You bring the WILL and God will bring the POWER.

2016 — The Year of Reward

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

We are so blessed to be entering into another year! God I thank you for keeping us, thank you for protecting us, thank you for holding us even when we were disobedient. Thank you for causing all things to work together for our good. Lord, I love you and will forever praise You! Amen!

Had to give Him praise AND glory! I pray that everyone has a prosperous year! Of course we say that every year but it’s something about the year 2016 that I am excited about! I brought in the new year with my church and my pastor, Touré Roberts gave me confirmation.

This year, don’t just talk about your goals and dreams but WRITE THEM DOWN. Believe them and put action towards them. Pray that God orders your steps and gives you discernment in decision making. Figure out your purpose on this earth if you haven’t already, time is ticking. Be of service to others and walk in love.

I wish the best!

XOXO
