About Robyn Paigé

Robyn Paigé, born Robyn Paigé Matthews, was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 18, 1991. She is the daughter of Edward Matthews Sr. and Marjorie Miller-Matthews.  She is one of 7 siblings, 4 half-brothers, 1 adopted brother, 1 step-sister, and 1 step-brother. Robyn’s parents split when she was seven years old. She stayed with her mother in New Orleans while her father later remarried and relocated to Dallas, TX after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

Robyn started her education at Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School where she found the love for learning. Her teachers noticed her outstanding academic achievements and requested that she be tested for gifted classes. While at Eisenhower, she was admitted into the gifted program as an honors student in the second grade and remained in gifted/talented/advanced placement classes until she finished her high school career. She began playing the violin in the third grade and began cheerleading in the fifth grade. Later on, Robyn took up baton twirling too in the sixth grade.

After graduating from Dwight D. Eisenhower with all honors, she was admitted into Edna Karr Secondary School from 7th – 12th grade where she got involved in various organizations and clubs.  She was in the orchestra, the choir, co-captain of the majorette team,  a member of the tennis team, National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club, the GPA Club, and Entrepreneur Club. Robyn was  nominated for homecoming court her senior year. She was Edna Karr’s 1st Senior Maid for 2009 and voted best female musician.

Graduating from Karr with a 4.2 GPA, she was admitted into Loyola University New Orleans with scholarships to accompany. While at Loyola she learned the value of serving as she worked as an administrative assistant to the phenomenal Lisa Martin in the Center for Intercultural Understanding. She also worked as a Wolfpack Leader in the sports complex and as a manager at Bakers Shoes. Robyn continued her love for music by becoming a member of Genesis Gospel Choir and later picked up a new love for guitar playing. Robyn decided to become a part of the first African-American Greek Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. where she pledged her sophomore year. She served as Vice-President, Financial Secretary, and Hostess of The Exquisite Eta Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. Robyn put on several different programs to further her community and also brought the first greek fashion show to the campus of Loyola University. While maintaining a positive role on campus, Robyn also wrote for the university’s award-winning newspaper, The Maroon. She interned with Essence Music Festival for three consecutive summers and also interned with Clear Channel Radio for a year. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Music Business in May 2013.

During Robyn’s sophomore year in college, Robyn was asked to become the co-owner of a New Orleans clothing line, E.R.O.S., which was an acronym for Everyone Rises Over Struggles. With E.R.O.S., not only did she collaborate with the CEO on company strategies, but Robyn orchestrated, casted, choreographed, and put together many fashion shows with different brands and boutiques throughout the state. Her fashion shows had as many as 5,000 attendees. Through E.R.O.S., she became a mentor to several models taking on the role as a big sister to many. These girls confide in her about advice on relationships, fashion, personal issues, spiritual life, as well as school. Through mentoring, Robyn realized that she has a heart for young girls and has plans to take her mentoring to the next level in the near future.

Robyn was brought up in Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church where she sung in the Youth and Young Adult Choir since the age of 7. She later was asked to be apart of the choir’s praise team at the age of 12. She continued singing in the choir until her school work consumed her in her junior year in college. She then served in other ministries and became a positive force in the Young Adult Ministry, CCS, which stood for the Community of Christian Students. Robyn was asked to speak on panels for the ministry as well as host several events. She was the news anchor for the GSS News. She also became apart of the drama ministry, Greater Motion Pictures where she found her real passion. She was casted into her first play, School Blues and played the role of a troubled high school junior.

After graduating from college, Robyn worked as a financial advisor for roughly a year and then by faith, moved to Los Angeles to chase her dreams of becoming an actress. She was hired as a host for Nassitive Entertainment and joined One Church International where she is an active member. She is apart of One Movement and the Change Performance Theatre ministry.

Robyn is currently in Los Angeles going after her purpose and awaiting her next big break. She aspires to take the world by storm building the Robyn Paigé brand. Robyn continues to walk daily by faith, allowing God to lead her in every direction of her life while constantly on the move.
